ORE Online Gets New Look, New Content for 2017

The Ohio Library Council provides reference education training to improve the quality of reference services at public libraries throughout Ohio. Ohio Reference Excellence (ORE) online is comprised of six, self-paced training modules that cover many aspects of the reference process. Each module includes resource links, exercises and quizzes.

ORE Online was originally adapted for the Internet back in 2000 with support from the State Library of Ohio. The training modules were reviewed annually from 2001-2015. In 2016, ORE was completely revised by members of the OLC’s Reference and Information Services Division and Timothy Sandusky, a practicum student with Kent State University.
